Rene Richardson is a real estate agent located in Sonoma County, CA. She is affiliated with a brokerage firm but wanted to create an independent identity to distinguish herself against her competitors. She wanted something personalized, sophisticated, and classic. I decided to incorporate the 2 “R” in Rene’s name and created an initial based design. I went with a serif style font to promote an elegant and prestigious overall feel.

Berkshire Prosthetic & Restorative Dentistry located in Williamstown MA provides a full scope of prosthetic and restorative dentistry. Berkshire came having never had any type of branding. They were very open to any ideas and suggestions.

I wanted to somehow incorporate the initials within the practice name. After sketching and conceptualizing, I landing on a somewhat abstract design that I felt carried power and visual appeal between all elements. I digitalized my sketch and paired both a sans serif and serif font together to deliver a contrast within the brand. Having the sans serif stand-out initially gives a fresh modern feel while the serif preserves the respectability that already existed within the practice. The muted color scheme combined well with the modern, natural elements.

This modern yet refined branding created for Berkshire elevates their visual identity within their community and helps them rise above their competition.

Unused Logo Proposal

Peoria Oral and Implant Surgery located in Peoria AZ. Specializing in wide range of oral and implant surgery services.

With no pre-existing logo the client was open to new ideas. I centered my ideation on the scenic area surrounding the practice. I digitalized my landscape concept inspired by the Calderwood Butte Preserve in Peoria, AZ and combined it within the font to be unique and unified. A sophisticated serif font speaks to the traditional nature within the environment of the office. The complimentary color choices of burnt orange, navy and light blue pair perfectly together and stay on theme with the Arizona desert motif.

Wickenburg Family Dentistry located in Wickenburg AZ. A family-friendly dental practice dedicated to providing honest dentistry for the whole family. Dr. Savino’s practice came having had never used any type of logo or branding in their office. They were interested in making themselves stand-out against their competitors as well as make them more recognizable within their community.

The practice knew that they wanted to use their geographic location as a focal point for the logo. The beautiful Arizona landscape was the inspiration moving forward. A simplistic, modern style mountain scape was designed combined with a bold, bright color palette that represented the breathtaking sunsets in the Arizona deserts. A bold traditional serif was chosen to contrast with the other modern style elements within the logo.

The modern style design paired with the bright, bold color gradient create a memorable brand that will lead against their local competitors and also maintain their welcoming environment in years to come.

Ophthalmic Plastic Surgeons of Texas located in Houston TX with their central focus on the health and rejuvenation of the delicate eye area. They came wanting to create their brand from the foundation starting with the logo. They were open to ideas, however they really wanted to pay homage to their Houston community. A sleek, simplistic, Houston city scape was designed to sit centered in a stylized eye shape. This concept merged together both the practices request along with their specialty. A cool, sterile blue color scheme gives a clean, professional overall feel while a serif font aids with the already distinguished practices values.

After the logo was developed I carried out the brand throughout many different printed items such as stationery (letterhead, envelopes and business cards), a trifold brochure, Direct Mailers, announcement postcards and presentations folders.

Ophthalmic Plastic Surgeons of Texas, having already been highly ranked in their field now has a strong brand to keep them prominent and memorable within their community.

Unused Logo Proposal

Capital Periodontics of Maryland located in Annapolis MD. Specialists in periodontics and implantology.

Having no logo previously, the client was very unsure where to start and what they were interested in seeing. My ideation focused on Maryland’s state flower, the Black-eyed Susan. I decide to take a more abstract approach while also keeping structure and strength in mind. I sketched and digitalized my concept from there. A grey tone paired with a deep yellow accent color was chosen to maintain professionalize but also stand out. A modern sans serif font matched nicely with the icon created and gave an overall friendly, welcoming feel to the practice.

Studio W Dance located in Windsor CA strives to bring excellence to the Sonoma County dance community, by encouraging dancers to reach their highest potential. Having no existing logo prior, this client came wanting something that would represent them within the community plus they knew they wanted the color purple incorporated.

The logo concept created played with typography, pairing a script style font with a sans serif. The goal was to blend movement and flow with strength and boldness, which illustrates the elements of dance. I modified the “W” to continue this idea and display motion and length. A rich, deep, purple was paired with a bronze gold to contrast nicely as well as symbolize loyalty and confidence. The Studio W Dance logo and branding established a visual identity for them within the community that fully embodies their mission.

Barrels, Brew and Bites, previously located in Healdsburg CA. This unique concept joins local craft beer, hidden gem wine with savory food pairings served tapas style in a cool lounge space.

This client came to me upset with the outcome of their logo that was designed by an online resource. While they were accepting of some aspects of the logo, they were not in love with it. The goal for this logo modification project was to take the elements the client liked from the current design and recreate a monogram and brand that more strongly embodied the visual identity they had envisioned for their new business.

The logo design was originally inspired by the 3 B’s in the name title. I sketched and conceptualized ideas surrounding that vision while making the overall monogram more intentionally distinct and unified. A bold, rich color scheme pairs tastefully with the more masculine and sophisticated atmosphere within the lounge. The serif font choice speaks to the elegant and dignified identity of this innovative business.

After the revamped logo was developed I carried out the branding and designed all food menu/bar menu designs, business cards, promotional flyers, and social media post.

Trecini Winery introduces their new Seven Seas series that will bring the taste of Sonoma County to your fingertips. The Seven Seas design is inspired by ancient sea travel and the creatures met on voyage. Hand carved Lino-block images were carved, printed, digitalized and placed on each label to mix with the elegant typography. The burnt distressed label and rough lino-block technique pairs well with the inspired concept and will make Trecini’s Seven Seas series stand out.

The history of the 1870 North Pacific Coast Railroad runs through the walls at Howard Station Café. Located in Occidental CA, Howard Station is the desired brunch destination. The main goal was to revamp the menu while maintaining the history behind the location. 

The typography and layout design chosen were inspired by antique newspaper designs dating back to the late 1800’s. Strong use of type hierarchy was used to organize the items and descriptions. Creative packaging for the menu was crafted using metal hinges to connect each wood cover. Mixing the two materials worked well with the historical atmosphere of the location. The current green color scheme was carried throughout the design by request of the owners. Innovative packaging and menu design effectively enhances the identity of Howard Station Café while maintaining their historical background.

Yoga One is a Yoga and Pilate’s studio that promotes inner strength, power and growth. Yoga One helps to connect the dots between your heart and mind using Ayurveda practices. The rebranding goal was to successfully merge the Ayurveda practice of health and vibrancy with Yoga One’s teachings of inner strength. 

The logo design contained three areas making one circle to represent the mind, body and soul within oneself. A vector illustration of a lotus flower is centered within to represent spirituality, beauty and prosperity. The color scheme used warm pastels to give a gentle and welcoming visual appeal. The Yoga One logo and monogram worked together to create a revamped brand identity that symbolizes Yoga Ones mission and beliefs.

RileyStreet Art Supply is a premier art store for all artistic needs. The goal was a full rebrand to modernize and update this small company’s brand identity. The main logo design graphically incorporated different mediums of art to reflect the range of products sold at the store. 

A primary color scheme of Red, Blue and Yellow were chosen to hold a simple yet meaningful representation of the art world while maintaining longevity for the RileyStreet brand. The bold design mixed a vintage style banner with modern and sleek vector graphic design. A san serif typeface was chosen to modernize the brand. The rebrand successfully gave RileyStreet a fresh and modernized identity by incorporating new graphic design elements and a creative color scheme.
